Schedule and Tuition

As of 2017

Monthly Tuition: The tuition is figured by a daily rate and calculated by how many days a child is scheduled to attend per month. Parents never pay for days school is closed. This accounts for different totals certain months, as vacation days are not included in the price of tuition. Apart from September tuition due in April, monthly tuition is due on the first day of preschool each month.

  • Preschool is open from 8:30am-4:45am.
  • Morning drop-off is from 8:30am-9:30am.
  • Afternoon pick-up is from 3:45pm-4:45pm.

Attendance: Children attend a minimum of two (2) days a week and a maximum of five (5) days a week.

Enrollment: Please inquire as to available schedules by March for September enrollment.

Sick days: Children may attend three make-up days per school year, if they've missed their regular days due to illness, upon availability.

Waiting List: Parents interested in getting their child on the waiting list make an appointment to visit ALV and fill in the form, preferably by the time the child is one-year-old. If your child is older, you may still get them on the waiting list. As we learn of spaces that will become available, we will contact you to see if you're interested in enrolling. You may be contacted in the middle of the school year if a student has moved away and there is a space to be filled.

Families Residing Abroad: If families wish to get their child on the waiting list in time for a specific start date but currently are not residing in the Bay Area and are unable to visit, a phone discussion will replace the visit.
